Flagstaff Area

The bulk of these photos are from the Old Caves Crater trail, with the remainder taken on Little Elden trail nearby.  The Old Caves Crater is a path up an old cinder cone (formed by volcanic activity).  There are the destroyed ruins of an old pueblo on a point beneath the summit.  The porous rock beneath the pueblo are riddled with caves.  There are obviously some animal nests in them.  We did see a small owl, but I’m not sure if that was the owner of the nests.  It is a very cool place to visit.
